Melinda E. Ramírez is a proud Latina, military spouse, and mother from New York. She is also a consultant, coach, and educator. Melinda is passionate about helping individuals and organizations reach their full potential.

After surviving a traumatic event in 2006, Melinda dedicated her life to maximizing her full potential and empowering others. For over 15 years, Melinda has been helping diverse individuals transform their lives through personal and career development. She has also helped organizations instill systems to improve team productivity, leadership development, sales performance, partner relations, and diversity policies. As the owner of Tai Phoenix Consulting, Melinda shares her passion, experience, and expertise to support individuals and organizations.

Melinda graduated from the Marist College. She earned a B.A. in English and M.A. in Educational Psychology. She was the valedictorian in graduate school. Melinda obtained numerous inclusive leadership, coaching, and teaching certificates. As a first-generation college graduate and Latinx professional, Melinda had to learn how to navigate the dynamic and challenging business world. She successfully ran three franchises and a non-profit organization in the Tri-State area and Florida.

As a leadership development consultant and career coach, Melinda helps her clients achieve clarity and direction. She equips them with the resources and necessary skills to obtain immediate and sustainable results (for themselves and the organizations they serve). Melinda developed a comprehensive approach to self-management (which increases personal and professional achievement) based on her Educational Psychology background and training from the Holistic Coach Academy. Specifically, Melinda utilizes concrete and research-based strategies for success. Melinda specializes in various topics (i.e. inclusive leadership training, résumé building, combatting negative cognition, salary negotiations, career transitions, interview preparation, goal-setting, leadership styles, and communication styles).

Melinda’s experience, knowledge, and impact earned her numerous awards. Recently, she was the Negocios Now: 40 Under 40 Latino Leaders in NY Award and Hudson Valley Magazine’s Women in Business Award recipient. In her free time, Melinda enjoys making memories with her military husband and daughter in Tennessee. She also enjoys Latin dancing, Zumba classes, and traveling.
